Our Events
NHS Sanitary Product Drive
For January 2024, we held a sanitary product drive with the National Honor Society at our high school. After speaking with our National Honor Society leader, Mrs. Demirjian, we were able to plan the product drive as a month-long event. This drive does not only positively impact our cause, but it also has a positive effect on students as they will be able to gain hours with every product that they donate. In the society, each student must earn 40 hours of community service by the end of the year in order to graduate with honors. we were able to acquire $478.88 worth of donations---$478.88! The month of January were filled with gratitude and generous contributions.

Christmas Cookie Sale
We planned and set up our cookie sale on December 22nd in our school store at Ridgewood High School in New Jersey. We bought cookies from our local Acme. We bought 38 cookies, two 10 packs, and one 18 pack. Using posters we advertised to friends, students, and staff. We posted on google classrooms, our school's website, and put up fliers all around the school to entice potential donors. We ended up selling our cookies for $2 each with additional donations from some buyers.
Sanitary Product Drive
We held a sanitary feminine product drive at our high school on the week of January 6th, 2023. This event was extremely successful with students and families contributing over 100 boxes of pads and tampons. These donations were extremely generous and we felt like we had genuinely made a difference in our community.
Door-to-Door Fundraising
We spent weeks spreading awareness about the issue door-to-door on both of our streets and asking for donations. Because we have lived in our houses our entire lives, our neighbors knew us well and were more open to helping our cause. This method brings the issue closer to home, allowing neighbors to connect with a global problem on a personal level. It demonstrates that the issue affects real people, making it more relatable. Through face-to-face interactions, we were able to share stories, statistics, and information about the issue. We raised over 150 dollars from this method alone and we shared passion with our neighbors.
